let me take you along the process - from earth to fire.

01. After the foraged clay is completely dried, I have little helping hands to hammer the pieces -

02. When the pieces are small enough, I grind them even more, pulverizing the clay.

I don't sieve out any "imperfections" in my foraged clay - I let, sand, stones and straws stay in just the way it was found.

03. Now I add water to the powdered clay.

04. Kneading in the foraged temper. Did you know that "Myrfivel" is an old norse word for Cotton Grass?

05. Watching the glowing heat linger after  the fire might be my favorite part.

06. After firing, the clay display the most beautiful natural hues.
